FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What photo shoots do I offer?

I specialise in newborn children and family photography. I offer a variety of sessions - maternity, newborn, babies/sitter photography, first birthday sessions (including fun cake smashes), family, couple and wedding photography!  I have also been involved with commercial photography such as food photography!

Where do sessions take place?

I offer both location and studio photo shoots! My beautiful studio is Rock, North Cornwall, which is where all my newborn sessions and family studio photo shoots take place.

However I also love the freedom of being outdoors, especially with all the stunning locations around Cornwall. If you decide to have a location photo shoot, the choice of where we go is up to you! I adore exploring new places, and making your photos special and personal to you!

Do I need to bring anything for my photo shoot?

My studio is equipped with lots of props equipped with everything you will need for your newborn, baby, and 1st birthday session but you are more than welcome to bring anything you want to be included!

Newborn sessions I recommend bringing nappies, babies feed, muslin cloths, a dummy if you use one, refreshments for parents, and a change of clothes if the worst should happen!

All you need to bring for location sessions is yourselves, I like to tell the story of your family, unscripted and unposed.

What should I wear?

When you book your session and your session fee has been paid, I send all relevant information, including a what to wear guide and even a short questionnaire!

How much are photography sessions?

I require a £75 non-refundable booking fee to secure your session, this is then deducted from your final order. All prices  for packages, prints and wall art can be found on my investment page. I completely understand that each individual has a different budget in mind, and everyone spends different amounts, I have had clients purchase orders from anywhere between £200 and £1500.

Do I have to have my photos on social media?

Of course not, I always respect people’s privacy and give you the option to keep your photos private!

How long do I have to wait to view my gallery?

My turn around is 1-2 weeks, you will then be invited in to my home in Wadebridge, North Cornwall where you will view your gallery and choose what you would like to purchase, from digital images and canvases to acrylics!

Can pets be involved?

Yes! I love it when pets join in on the fun, especially with location sessions as you all have the freedom to run around. I do also allow pets in my studio, which will always be thoroughly cleaned afterwards. Pets can be involved in newborn sessions, however this will include editing two photos into one to ensure that the newborn is safe at all times.

At what age do newborn sessions take place?

Newborn sessions are best when your little one is 5-15 days old, but I accept newborn sessions until your little one is 6 weeks old. After that I cannot guarantee the sleepy poses, but always love to photograph any stage in your families life!

How long are photo shoots?

Newborn sessions can last anywhere between 2-4 hours, as they are completely baby led. This means that you can relax, and we don’t have to rush about, there is plenty of time to feed and settle your little one.

Family, maternity, baby, first birthday and couple, sessions usually last around an hour, but again there is no rush, I do not set a time limit!

How do I book my photo shoot?

To book a session all you need to do is contact me either on social media, email or by text, and let me know what session you would like to book. I will then send across all relevant information for your session and an invoice for the session fee, once the session fee has been paid your slot if confirmed.

When should I book my session?

I recommend booking 1 months in advance, I can’t always guarantee a last minute booking but always try and find time for every customer!

If you are booking a newborn session you can book anytime after your 20 week scan, and I recommend that maternity sessions take place when you are around 30-32 weeks pregnant.
