So, what is a cake smash photo shoot?

Most importantly cake smash sessions are MESSY, FUN, and MEMORABLE! These sessions are becoming an increasingly popular way to celebrate your little ones first birthday. To begin the shoot we will start with your baby's first birthday portraits, using some of the many beautiful props that I have in my studio. Then we bring out the cake, and the fun starts! Your little one is allowed to touch, taste, face plant, and even throw the cake. Cake smashes are a great way to boost your babies sensory development, and enjoy messy play, whilst creating everlasting images. For many babies it is the first time they have a chance to eat cake, I absolutely adore watching how each baby reacts. Some babies will get stuck in, smashing the cake to pieces, whilst others will tentatively sit and happily nibble away at the cake! I want every session to be personal and unique to you: I offer different themes to suit your style. I recommend scheduling your cake smash session 3-4 weeks before your baby turns one.
