Little lowen was an absolute delight for his newborn session! I first met his mummy, daddy and big sister during their maternity session a couple of months before, they were all very excited to welcome their newest addition to their family.

The name "Lowen" comes from the Cornish language, translating to "joyful." It is lovely to see so many Cornish names, the last baby I had in the studio also had a cornish name - a little girl called Elowen, translating to "elm".

Baby Lowen was a "joy" to photograph and even pulled a few smiles for the camera, he loved to be wrapped up all snug! It has been a pleasure to photograph Lowen from bump to baby, seeing his family filled with love and excitement at both their sessions.

Lowen decided to arrive earlier than his due date, and surprised his family by being born at home! His session was all about capturing the love his family had for one another! His big sister Amiyah was very proud to have a little brother!

I always recommend booking in your newborn session just after your 20 week scan, as it is one less thing to think about later on in your pregnancy and there is more chance I will have availability when booked in advance. Newborn sessions are best when your little one is between 4-14 days old as they are still very sleepy and happy to be in "womb like" poses.
